I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am passionate about helping people, which is what drove me to this line of business in the first place. Being able to help others retire with peace of mind is something special, and something I do not take for granted.
I am a proud husband and father to my wife Taylor and my son Jack, without them, I would not be where I am now. Family means everything to me, Mitch is my father-in-law, and I will forever be grateful for everything he has taught me over the years. Working with family has been something I never knew I needed. But after these past few years, I know I wouldn’t want it any other way.
When I am not in the office, you can generally find me in the woods, hunting with my dog, Hoxey. My family and I are huge supporters of local music and love to attend as many concerts as possible.
I attended Central Michigan University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While attending college I had the opportunity to work in the insurance industry for a major insurance provider, helping folks protect their homes, cars, and personal belongings. After graduating college, I headed into the fast-paced environment of freight brokerage, where I worked for two major companies in the transportation world before joining Mitch Lyons Wealth.
Upon joining the MLW family, I knew something felt different about this career. I quickly realized why my father had started this business. The gratification I feel from helping individuals and families design a plan to protect and optimize their retirements is extremely rewarding. It’s special working with a company that provides perspective and guidance for the families we work with, sharing new ideas and strategies that can bring assurance and certainty to our clients’ retirement years.
I recently starting working with my father, Mitch, after graduating from Michigan State University in 2021. The opportunity to learn about better ways to manage wealth and be able to share those strategies with others all while working with my family has been a true blessing.
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy anything outdoors- whether it is hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, or walking my dog, Otis. I grew up a huge sports fan (largely due to my father, Mitch), so I am always watching basketball or football in my downtime as well.
After completing my Master’s degree in 2021 while living in New York, I met the love of my life, Ashley. We moved back to Sparta, MI in 2022, just outside of my hometown, Rockford.
I grew up in Rockford, MI, with a huge blended family, with six siblings, Mitch being my step dad. I went to Michigan State University for a few years after high school, with the intention to become a teacher. I eventually realized that wasn’t the right path for me, and struggled finding something I was passionate about until I was able to join the team at Mitch Lyons Wealth. It has always been important to me for my job to have a positive impact on the world around me, and I love that I am able to do that with the added bonus of working with my family.
Working at Mitch Lyons Wealth has given me the opportunity to thrive personally and professionally. I love being able to clock out at the end of the day knowing that I have helped to make others’ lives easier, and I now have more free time to pursue other aspects of my life that make me happy – whether that is a weekend in the woods camping with my Fiancé, Zack, spending my evenings cuddled up on the couch with my cats, or finding the best places to eat in a new city. I am proud of the work that I do here, and of the life I am able to live because of it.
I was born in Three Rivers, MI in 1974 where I grew up the youngest of a family of six. My dad was an ex-farmer and a small business owner and my mom did many different side jobs when time allowed her to be away from us kids. After graduating high-school, I went on to Hope College to play basketball. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and in Kinesiology.
Since 2001 I have resided in Rockford, MI with my wife Angela, who is a P.A., and now my two daughters, Madee and Ryan and my son Casen. I have always had a passion for basketball and coaching. I have had the pleasure and privilege of coaching all three of my kids during their careers. My favorite time is “family-time”.
I met Mitch many years ago through the course of our children’s sports activities. I learned over time what he was doing to help people retire successfully and I decided to get involved helping families like mine create a stress-free future. It’s been very satisfying to help people protect what they’ve worked so hard to build over a working lifetime and to safely generate the income they need to enjoy retirement.
I grew up in Rockford, Michigan with a big, blended family with six siblings, Mitch being my stepdad. I attended Grand Rapids Community College where I was studying to be a teacher, when covid hit I had to reevaluate. After working a physical labor job for about a year, I was lucky enough to join Mitch Lyons Wealth. I am very excited to be a part of the team. Not only do I get to work so closely with my family, but I also get the satisfaction of helping people obtain their retirement goals. When I’m not working, I enjoy watching football (GO Lions). I also love to spend time outside, golfing, fishing, and hiking. I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend Kayci and my dog Heisman.
