Retirement Specialist
I grew up on a small Iowa man-made lake that my mom's family built. She bought her lot for $500 and when I was in kindergarten my dad finished our house and we moved to the lake. I spent my summers swimming and fishing and, in the fall, I was in the woods or fields hunting. I have two older brothers - one is a CPA and philanthropist and the other is a retired West Point grad. We wrestled growing up and we learned how to work hard and that you only get positive results from sweat and sacrifice. And if you didn't, you already knew why...
I am married to Kristen who is a rockstar working mom, a high school counselor. We have four children, two boys and two girls. I love coaching and supporting them in whatever passions they find. We also have Sully, our goldendoodle, who protects our house, all 26 pounds of him.
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. I have been working in the retirement industry since 2005 and I have found a passion in making the complex simple and easy to understand. Enlightening people that there are more options than what conventional wisdom suggests has been a pleasure. Over the last 18 years, I've helped protect over 2 billion dollars for retirees. I love the fact that as the stock market capitulates, I know the protection and assurance that our concepts provide, allows the families we work with to sleep easier and enjoy a less stressful retirement.
